On 26 November 2026 in Astana, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Merey Mukazhan delivered the opening speech at the 4th Session of the General Assembly of the Council of Women Entrepreneurs of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI).

In his remarks, Mr. Mukazhan underlined the crucial role of women entrepreneurs in driving sustainable economic growth, innovation, and regional integration across the Turkic World. He commended the Council of Women Entrepreneurs for its efforts to enhance cooperation among businesswomen, support start-ups and SMEs, and promote a more inclusive business environment in OTS Member States.

Deputy Secretary General also reaffirmed the OTS’s commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment as a key priority on the Organization’s agenda, noting that stronger participation of women in trade, investment, and digital transformation will significantly contribute to the shared prosperity and resilience of the region.

The 4th Session of the General Assembly gathered leading women entrepreneurs, business leaders, and representatives of relevant institutions from OTS Member States and Observers to discuss practical measures to boost intra-regional trade, improve access to finance, and strengthen networks among women-led enterprises.
