The 9th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Youth and Sports of the OTS convened in Tashkent

The 9th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Youth and Sports of the Organization of Turkic States was held on 17 October 2025 in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Meeting was attended and addressed by H.E. Adkham Ikramov, Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan; H.E.Dilnozaxon Kattaxonova, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan; H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the OTS; H.E. Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan; H.E. Yerbol Myrzabossynov, Minister of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan; H.E. Kazybek Moldazhiyev, Director of State Agency of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic; H.E. Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye; H.E. Yevgeniy Kochetov, Vice-Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan; H.E. Marat Tagayev, Vice-Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic; Mr. Attila Szabo, Consul of Hungary in Uzbekistan; as well as H.E. Odil Abdurakhmanov, Presidential Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Sports Affairs; and H.E. Otabek Umarov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the OTS, during his address the participants about the activities in the field of youth and sports, which were organized in 2025. He highlighted the importance of focusing on concrete projects and initiatives in the relevant field, which will serve to further unity and solidarity among the Turkic youth.

The Parties expressed their commitment to promote youth and sports cooperation within the Turkic World through collaborative actions.

During the meeting, the Kyrgyz side informed the Parties that the 10th Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Youth and Sports of the OTS will be held within the framework of the 6th World Nomad Games, which will be held on 31 August - 6 September 2026 in the Kyrgyz Republic.
