Secretary General of the Turkic Council met with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
First Deputy Minister briefed the Secretary General on the latest developments in Ukraine in terms of implementation of economic reforms, rebuilding government and democratic institutions. She also informed Head of the Turkic Council on main foreign policy principles of Ukraine and current relations of Kiev with the regional and international partners.
Emine Dzhaparova praised the historical ties between Ukraine and Turkic Council Member States. She underlined that Ukraine has been always been maintaining friendly relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan as well as Central Asian countries.
Taking into consideration that a lot of Turkic speaking communities inhabit in Ukraine, she stressed that Kiev is very keen to continue the development of cooperation with theTurkic Council countries in various fields, create new mechanisms of collaboration and establish new format of relations with Turkic Council member states.
Secretary General welcomed the First Deputy Minister and highlighted the historically friendly relations of Turkic nations with Ukraine.
Secretary General briefed the high ranked Ukrainian diplomat on the latest activities, current agenda of the Turkic Council and shared with her the main objectives, plans of the Organization for the upcoming period.
He expressed determination of member states to develop collaboration with Ukraine in various fields, including political, economic, cultural, educational and other. B. Amreyev also recommended the Ukrainian side to establish ties with other International Turkic Organizations such as TURKSOY and Turkic Academy as well.
Parties also exchanged views on pressing topics of the international agenda and discussed certain aspects of humanitarian issues of the world politics.
