Secretary General of the OTS addressed Workshop on the Future of the Turkic World in Washington, D.C.

On 15 December 2025 H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), delivered remarks at the workshop “Future of the Turkic World From Central Asia to the Black Sea”, hosted by the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.

The event was featured an exchange of views with experts and fellows from the leading analytical centers of the USA.

The Secretary General highlighted the growing strategic relevance of the OTS and emphasized that the OTS has evolved into a fully institutionalized, results-oriented intergovernmental organization, uniting nations across a vast geography stretching from Central Asia to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. He underscored expanding cooperation in economic development, connectivity, security, and people-to-people exchanges.

During the discussion, participants noted the increasing interest of U.S. policymakers and analytical centers in the Turkic region as well as the steadily growing role of the OTS in global affairs and emphasized that this trend is being taken into account by the American side in its analytical and policy considerations.
