The recent visit of OTS Secretary General H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev to Washington, D.C. highlighted the growing strategic relevance of the Turkic world. Meetings with U.S. officials, Members of Congress, and leading policy institutions focused on connectivity, energy security, economic cooperation, and key regional developments across Eurasia.
The visit took place amid renewed U.S. engagement with Central Asia and the South Caucasus and reflected increasing international interest in the Organization of Turkic States as a key regional actor linking Europe and Asia. The discussions reaffirmed the importance of deeper dialogue and enhanced cooperation between the Turkic States and global partners, in line with the analysis of the Secretary General’s visit to Washington by Luke Coffey, Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, one of the leading think tanks in the United States.
