The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Grand Mufti H.E. Abdulaziz Zakirov on 23 December 2024. 

The meeting focused on fostering religious cooperation within the OTS framework to strengthen solidarity and collaboration among the Turkic peoples. The Parties also exchanged views on the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the OTS, scheduled to take place in Kyrgyzstan in 2025.

Discussions covered ongoing activities within the Fatwa Committee, which operates under the Council, and the significance of its role in advancing religious cooperation.
