On 26 December 2024, H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) delivered a speech at the Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) General Assembly, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
In the beginning of his address the Secretary General expressed condolences for the recent plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan, and extended sympathies to the affected nations. By commending the activities of the TCCI as a already institutionalized Organization Ambassador Omuraliev encouraged its further enlargement and active contribution to expanding business ties among Turkic States. 
By noting the key outcomes of the OTS 11th Summit in Bishkek, including the signing of the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA), Memorandum on the Council of Central Banks, and the Turkic Green Finance Council, the Secretary General underlined that these initiatives aim to boost trade, attract investment, and promote sustainable development among OTS Member States. In this framework, the Secretary General called the TCCI to undertake concrete projects and initiatives for further developing intra-trade in OTS region. Moreover, the importance of the OTS projects on digitalization of freight transportation and customs procedures, as well as the Trans-Caspian International East-West Middle Corridor and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway projects were noted in this context.
The event brought together high-ranking officials and business leaders from Turkic states to discuss economic cooperation and regional development. Key outcomes of the assembly included the election of new leadership of the TCCI, the establishment of committees for logistics and young entrepreneurs, expanding the cooperation in agricultural field, and the admission of the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a new member. 
As a result of the rotation of the Presidency from Türkiye to Azerbaijan Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan was elected as President of the TCCI, and H.E. M. Rifat Hisarciklioğlu, President of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), was elected as honorary President of the Organization.
