On 29 January 2025, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, met with the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Daniyar Amangeldiev, in Bishkek. The discussions centered on strengthening economic cooperation among OTS member states and advancing joint initiatives in key sectors.

The meeting provided an opportunity for a detailed exchange on expanding trade, investment, and infrastructure projects within the OTS framework.

Secretary General Omuraliev highlighted the Organization’s ongoing efforts to facilitate trade liberalization, support business cooperation, and implement strategic initiatives such as digital transformation and digital economy projects, particularly the implementation of the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement and the drafting of the Free Trade in Investments and Services Agreement.

First Deputy Chairman Amangeldiev reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to strengthening economic ties within the OTS and emphasized the country’s readiness to actively contribute to the successful implementation of joint projects.
