In a historic moment symbolizing unity and shared heritage, the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States convened in Bishkek on 6 November 2024 and announced a landmark decision, which stood out among many other important resolutions made during the Summit. Reflecting the deep cultural and historical bonds uniting the Turkic nations and their unwavering commitment to fostering cooperation, solidarity, and progress, the Council adopted the flag of the Organization of Turkic States as an symbol of their shared aspirations.

This decision, rooted in the Agreed Minutes of the Council of Foreign Ministers' meeting held on 22 August 2012 in Bishkek, also emphasized the alignment of all Turkic Cooperation Organizations under a unified visual identity. By adopting this shared symbol, the Council marked a new chapter in their collaborative journey, reaffirming their collective vision for a united and prosperous future.
