Meetings wih the Rectors, Vice Rector and experts of the Azerbaijani member Universities of the Turkic University Union within the scope of the Turkic University Union Orkhun Process project were held in Baku on 23 September 2016.
In accordance with decisions taken at the Second General Assembly of the Turkic Council Turkic University Union, technical committee of the Turkic University Union headed by the Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Omer Kocaman and consisting of Project Directors Zhyldyz Uzakova, Zamin Aliyev, Ali Çiviler and Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek met with Prof. Dr. Abel Maharramov, Rector of the Baku State University, Prof. Dr. Gulchohre Mammadova, Rector of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Associate Professor Rahime Gabulova, Vice Rector of Azerbaijan Medical University and experts of the universities on Bologna Process and Erasmus+ programs.
Throughout the meetings, the enhancement and promotion of activities of the Turkic University Union, realization of the launch of the students and instructors exchange within the Orkhun Process project among the Member Universities, issues such as the Bologna Process, Erasmus+ and the European Credit Transfer System currently being implemented in Azerbaijan, as well as concrete projects proposed by the said Member Universities were discussed.
During the meetings, the parties also thoroughly discussed the text of the questionnaire prepared by the Turkic Council Secretariat. The questionnaire examines the implementation and infrastructure of the student and instructor exchange processes among the Union member universities. The parties filled and handed over the questionnaire texts to the Secretariat representatives present at the meeting.
The said technical committee of the Turkic University Union was formed in accordance with the relevant decisions taken at the Expert Committee Meeting and the Second General Assembly of the Turkic University Union regarding Orkhun Process project which took place in Erzurum on 11-12 April 2016.
