On 14 May 2025, upon the initiative of H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Advisory Platform of Central Election Authorities (APCEA) of the Turkic States was established under the auspices of the OTS and its First Meeting was held in the “Spiritual Capital of the Turkic World” – Turkistan, Kazakhstan, where the Heads of the Central Election Authorities (CEA) of the Member States signed the founding Regulation of the very body.
Taking part and addressing at the signing ceremony on the establishment of the APCEA of the OTS, H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS, underlined the key role of the newly established platform of the Organization and emphasized the dynamic nature of the developing multifaceted cooperation within the framework of the OTS.
In his remarks, Ambassador Omuraliev highlighted the significance of bringing together election authorities of the Turkic States to promote cooperation and enhance dialogue in election processes and international observer missions of the Parties.
At the end of the signing ceremony, the Secretary General and the Heads of CEAs of the OTS countries held a press conference and shared their assessments with the media outlets.
