On the margins of his official visit to Berlin to attend the 7th UNWTO Silk Road Ministers` Meeting, Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council visited on 7 March 2017 Bolat Nussupov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Germany as the said Republic assumes the Chairmanship of the Turkic Council. Kuatjan Ualiyev, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan also attended the meeting.
In the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov informed the Kazakh side about the activities of the Council in a wide range of areas from tourism, economy to education, alternative energy and transportation. He touched upon the developments for the materialization of the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package. Furthermore, He mentioned about the activities to be organized by the Council in the framework of Astana Expo 2017 in the fields of tourism, alternative energy and economy. He also gave information on the Council`s deepening relations with the UN and its specialized agencies.
State Secretary Ualiyev noted their support for the efforts of the Council in the areas of culture, sports and tourism that the Ministry currently covers in its portfolio. Moreover, he reiterated their readiness to host the Fourth Meeting of Turkic Council Tourism Ministers in June 2017.
Ambassador Nassopov expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Hasanov for his visit and the precious information that he provided on the dynamic work of the Council. He also underlined their desire to organize activities in Berlin to further raise the visibility of the Turkic Council in the international area. At the end of the meeting, exchange of gifts was carried out for the memory of the day.
Project Director Pelin Musabay and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied Secretary General Hasanov at the meeting.
