On 20 August 2025, in Bishkek, on the margins of the First Meeting of the Heads of Intellectual Property Institutions of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Secretary General of the OTS H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Baktiiar Orozov, Minister of Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The parties discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation in the field of intellectual property, science, technology, and innovation. The Secretary General expressed appreciation to the Kyrgyz side for its leadership in advancing the initiative on the Draft Agreement on Cooperation in the Legal Protection and Enforcement of Intellectual Property and the proposal to establish an Interstate Council on Legal Protection and Enforcement of Intellectual Property.
