Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev held bilateral meetings on the margins of the High Level Commemorative Event to mark the 60th anniversary of Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade on 11-12 October 2021.
The Secretary General met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Nikola Selakovic and discussed with them the ongoing session of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade as well as future cooperation opportunities between the Turkic Council and Serbia in different fields.
During the meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Farhod Arziev, the Parties discussed the preparation process and the main agenda items of the upcoming Summit of the Turkic Council scheduled to take place in Istanbul on 12 November 2021.
At the meetings with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Fuad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of Kuwait Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Secretary General exchanged views on regional agenda and cooperation in the framework of Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as partnership opportunities between the Turkic and Arab countries in various fields.
During the meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua Denis Moncada Colindres and the Minister of Foreign affairs of Venezuela Felix Plasencia the parties shared their views on the new avenue of inter-regional cooperation between the Turkic and Latin American states and collaboration in the international arena and international organizations.
At the meetings with the Assistant Secretary General of League of Arab States Ahmed Rachid Khattabi and Permanent Observer of OIC Mission to the EU Ismat Jahan, the Secretary General and his counterparts exchanged views on the common agenda and mutually beneficial cooperation between their respective organizations.
