On behalf of the Organization of Turkic States and on my own behalf, I sincerely congratulate the Government and brotherly people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the Independence Day of the country.
With the declaration of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 31 August 1991, the Uzbek people, looking at the future with great hope and confidence, patiently overcoming all challenges, realized their sacred dream.
In recent years, the advanced reform process and the pragmatic and proactive foreign policy under the able and vigorous leadership of President H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev allowed New Uzbekistan to achieve significant political, social and economic development and to considerably raise the level of its strategic partnership with the countries of the world and multilateral structures in a short time.
Today we are delighted to witness that, at a new stage of comprehensive reforms, Uzbekistan is focusing on new breakthroughs in the spirit of the "Third Renaissance" to deepen fundamental reforms with the consolidation of the successes achieved to bring to the fore the provision of human rights and interests in line with its new Development Strategy for 2022-2026.
We greatly appreciate Uzbekistan’s strong commitment and huge contribution to successfully promoting common interests and advancing shared goals of the Turkic World, strengthening multi-spectrum interaction and enriching the cooperation agenda of the Organization.
Taking this opportunity, I wish continued success and prosperity, well-being and happiness to our brotherly people of Uzbekistan.
Mustaqillik bayramingiz muborak bo’lsin!
Baghdad Amreyev
Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States
