In the framework of the Forum Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council, moderated the second part of the Panel session under the theme "Caspian transit corridor: infrastructure development and economic cooperation" organised by Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, International Turkic Academy and Caspian Strategy Institute on 22 May 2015.
At the Session H.E. Maulen Ashimbayev, Head of International Relations Defence and Security of Majilis, H.E. Magtumguly Akmyradov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan, H.E. Mojtaba Damirchiloo, Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran, Halil Akinci, Ambassodor, Azer Aliyev, Director of Department of Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Kanat Alpyssbayev, Vice-President of Kazakhstan Railways, Mrs. Ekatirina Miroshnik, Director of Russia and Central Asia of EBRD, Mr. Vahid Aliyev, Deputy Director of Baku International Sea Trade Port, Adil Akhmetov, Aksakal of the Turkic Council and Haldun Yavas, Secretary General of the Caspian Strategy Institute made their statements and participated as keynote speakers. Session also was participated by Members of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, officials of government of Kazakhstan, academicians and other participants.
The issue of the revitalisation of Silk Road, different transport projects in the region, importance of the Caspian Region in transportation and other related issues to the development of Caspian transit corridor were deliberated by the speakers at the Session.
