The delegations headed by the Deputy Secretary General of Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman and the Rector of Kyrgyz Turkish Manas University (KTMU) Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı visited Mr. Metin Kılıç, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bishkek on 7 April 2017 in order to provide information about the decisions taken during the meeting of the Turkic University Union held yesterday.
During the meeting, Rector Balcı gave information about the establishment of the Turkic University Union and stated that the Regulation of the Orkhun Process Exchange Program was completed during the meeting held yesterday (April 6) and in this framework concrete implementations of the projects will be possible.
Deputy Secretary General Kocaman said that the adoption of the Regulation and the signing of the bilateral protocols constitute an important milestone for the Turkic Academic World, that it is important to apply immediately and that a stronger structure will be achieved by the completion of the legal ground.
Ambassador Kılıç indicated it is pleasing that the Orkhun Process is now in practice, which is another source of pride that it has become operational in the period hosted and chaired by the Kyrgyz Turkish Manas University (KTMU). Ambassador Kılıç also underlined that they appreciate the hard work and the dedication of the Turkic Council and the Turkic University Union.
