Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mukhtar Tileuberdi visited the Headquarters of the Turkic Council Secretariat in İstanbul on 18 March 2021. The Minister and delegation were welcomed by the Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E. Baghdad Amreyev and his Deputies.
Thanking the Kazakh Minister for his courtesy visit, the Secretary General expressed his appreciation for the great contributions of Kazakhstan to the Turkic Council and expressed his confidence in continuation of the active role Kazakhstan plays in strengthening the cooperation of Turkic Speaking States in the framework of Turkic Council.
The Parties discussed at length current undertakings of the Organization and preparations for the upcoming Informal Summit to be held on 31 March 2021 in Turkistan, which was proposed by the First President of Kazakhstan and the Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council Elbasy H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev. They expressed their firm belief that the Summit will be another step forward to closer cooperation and deeper integration among the Turkic States.
M. Tileuberdi underlined the significant achievements of the Turkic Council during the past three years and stressed that Kazakhstan will continue its full support to the Secretariat’s efforts to further develop the relations within the Organization.
While signing the Memorial Notebook of the Turkic Council, the Minister underlined his confidence that the new premises would serve as an invaluable hub for the further achievements of the Organization.
M.Tleuberdi and B.Amreyev also exchanged views on various regional and international issues.
The Minister was accompanied by Ambassador of Republic of Kazakhstan to Ankara A. Saparbekuly, Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Republic of Kazakhstan R. Baimishev, Director of the Department of Asia and Africa of the MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Mukash and Consul General of Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul A. Bayel.
