Deputy Secretary General Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly participated at the 48th Plenary Session of the General Assembly of PABSEC.
Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly accompanied by the Project Director Mr. Farid Damirli participated at the 48th Plenary Session of the General Assembly of PABSEC held on 30 November 2016 in Belgrade.
The session was opened by the Speaker of National Assembly of Serbia Maja Gokovic.
During the addresses of the international organizations Mr. Saparbekuly delivered his statement. He underlined the impediments that that are taking place in the Member Countries and briefly introduced recent activities of the Turkic Council.
He also stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary dialogue and cooperation in order to address the global challenges like terrorism security and development issues. He noted that the parliamentarians are not only legislators they are also main actors in bringing parliaments together.
According to the rules of PABSEC the chairmanship was passed from Serbia to Turkey.
