Fifth Meeting of the Turkic Business Council was held on 3 April 2017 in Astana hosted by National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan “Atameken”. Mr. Ablay Myrzakhmetov, Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan “Atameken”, Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic, Mr. Marat Sharshekeev, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey attended the meeting moderated by Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council.
The parties discussed the issues such as organization of the Fifth Business Forum of the Turkic Council, a special Business Forum on Alternative Energy within the Astana EXPO 2017, Second Round Table for the Businessmen, Second technical visit for investors/businessmen, “First Turkic Council Chamber Business Training Program”, capacity building program for skills development and vocational education/training with the participation of private institutions, promotion of "Turkic Business Portal" web portal, exploring the possibilities of establishing joint logistic centers and organization of a special type of Business Forums with the participation of top companies during the Summits of the Turkic Council.
The parties agreed to organize Fifth Business Forum in September of this year in Istanbul, emphasized their readiness to provide the participation of their businessmen to the Business Forum on Alternative Energy to be held within the Astana EXPO 2017 and gave their support to the promotion of “First Turkic Council Chamber Business Training Program” and capacity building program for skills development and vocational education/training with the participation of private institutions will be held in May-June 2017 in Turkey.
They underlined the importance of the enhancing the efficiency of Turkic Business Council in order to deepen cooperation between businessmen of the Member States. The Sixth Meeting of the Turkic Business Council will be held in September 2017 in Turkey alongside with the Fifth Business Forum of the Turkic Council.
By now four official meetings and one unofficial meeting of the Turkic Business Council were held, where the parties discussed very important issues in regard with the economic cooperation among member states.
