Hosted by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the 1st Diaspora Youth Forum of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) dedicated to the theme of “Haydar Aliyev and the Turkic World” was held on 26-27 September 2023 in Baku with the participation of diaspora youth of the Member and Observer States living in different countries.
At three panel sessions conducted within the framework of the forum, which was attended by the Azerbaijani Aksakal, Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Minister of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan, Heads of TÜRKPA and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vice Minister of Culture, and the Ambassadors of the OTS countries, the participants held discussions on the role that Haydar Aliyev have played for the convergence of the Turkic countries as well as his undying messages to the young generation of the Turkic world. Moreover, Parties elaborated on the ways to enhance the cooperation and coordination among the Turkic diaspora youth in the upcoming period.
At the end of the forum, the participating diaspora youngsters adopted a joint statement outlining their resolve to forge enhanced cooperation and coordination in the future. They were also granted with the certificate of attendance.
