First-Ever Meeting of the Heads of Government,  Vice-President of the Organization of Turkic States held in Bishkek

On 18 September 2025, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, took part and addressed  the first-ever Meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice-President of the OTS Member States, hosted by the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek. The meeting was attended by H.E. Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan; H.E. Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan; H.E. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic; H.E. Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye; and H.E. Abdulla Aripov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In his address, Secretary General Omuraliev highlighted the importance of the meeting for strengthening solidarity and unity across the Turkic world. He underlined that the initiative to convene the meeting stemmed from the growing scope of OTS activities, the need for effective implementation of high-level decisions, and the ambition to further consolidate cooperation in priority areas. The Secretary General also expressed his deep appreciation to the Kyrgyz Republic for launching this initiative and for the warm hospitality extended to all delegations.

During the meeting, the Heads of Government and the Vice President held in-depth deliberations on fostering prosperity, regional integration, and multilateral cooperation within the OTS. They exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including trade, investment, transport, energy, agriculture, and digitalization, while underlining the importance of developing joint projects and strengthening institutional mechanisms of the Organization.

The participants adopted a Joint Statement reaffirming their commitment to the Nakhchivan Agreement, supporting deeper trade and investment cooperation, encouraging private sector engagement, and welcoming the progress achieved under the Chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2024–2025.
