Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev was received by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elbasy H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev on 8 October 2019 in Nur Sultan.
Secretary General B.Amreyev expressed his honor for this significant occasion to be received by esteemed Elbasy Nazarbayev, who stands as the outstanding statesman dedicated himself to the endeavors of uniting the Turkic world and prime mover of the formation of the Turkic Council. Referring to the decision of Heads of States of the Turkic Council on granting of the status of the life-time Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council to Kazakhstan Leader, Secretary General conveyed his heartfelt thanks for all the strong support, endless efforts and inventive ideas of His Excellency, which generated the basis of many achievements of the Turkic Council.
Secretary General B.Amreyev briefed Elbasy H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev on the recent important developments regarding the enlargement process of the Turkic Council with Uzbekistan’s accession and opening of its European office in Hungary as well as the preparations of the 7th Summit of the Turkic Council, which will take place on 15 October in Baku, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkic Council.
Secretary General also briefed the Kazakh Leader on the implementation of the Decisions of the Heads of States on enhancing economic dimensions of the Turkic Cooperation, including the outcomes of 1st Businesses and Investment Forum of the newly established Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic Speaking Countries hosted by the Government of Uzbekistan and efforts undertaken by the Secretariat to set up a Joint Investment Fund. He also informed the President about the relations with Turkmenistan and international organizations.
The First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy H.E. Elbasy expressed his hope that upcoming Summit of Turkic Council will open new chapter of further enhancing the cooperation of Turkic Speaking Countries.
