First Round Table of the Turkic Council for the Businessmen was held on 3 April 2017 in Astana.
First Round Table of the Turkic Council for the Businessmen moderated by Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Omer Kocaman was held on 3 April 2017 in Astana, hosted by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan “Atameken”.

The round table started by the address of Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council and continued by the presentations of Nurzhan Altayev, Deputy Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan “Atameken” on the topic of “Investment opportunities of the Republic of Kazakhstan”; Fuad Humbatov, Deputy Secretary General of National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic (ASK) on the topic of “Azerbaijan: Business and Investment Opportunities”; Marat Sharshekeev, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the projects of “Expocenter and Convention Center” and “The Issyk-Kul Eye” International Youth and Sport Center; Çağrı Gürgür, President Advisor of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) on the topic of “Turkish Experience of TOBB and Elements of Compulsory Membership”; Ali Nehir Yücel, Manager of Customs and Tourism Enterprises Co. Inc. on the topic of “Customs and their Modernisation and PPP Experience” and Mahmut Er, Turkey-Kazakhstan Business Council Board Member, Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) on the topic of “Turkey Economic Outlook: Snapshot of Macro Economic Indicators and Near Future”.

After the presentations question/answer session was held where the representatives of the National Chambers of the Member States answered the questions raised by the businessmen who are interested in doing business in Member States.

After the question/answer session B2B meetings were held among the businessmen.

About 50 businessmen attended the round table where they had chances to discuss the business relations with the representatives of the national chambers and companies of the Member States.

The aim of the Round table were to inform the businessmen on the current economic situations of the member states and on the current economic projects of the member states, share the information on the fields where investment could be attracted, respond questions and inform about opportunities related to doing business and assist the businessmen in finding business counterparts in other member states.
