H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Baghdad Amreyev on 14 May 2019 at the headquarter of the Turkic Council Secretariat in Istanbul.
Secretary General Amreyev, and Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu exchanged views on a wide range of international and regional issues.
They discussed the current activities of the Turkic Council and its planned schedule for the upcoming period such as the upcoming Summit of the Turkic Council in October in Azerbaijan, reform process of the Turkic Council, economic issues including Joint Investment Fund and Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkic Speaking Countries, opening a representation office of the Turkic Council in Budapest, relations with non-member countries and international organizations.
Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman was also present at the meeting.
