During the 5th Summit of the Turkic Council held in Astana, the Heads of State highly commended the completion of the programme of the Common Turkic History Textbook covering the period till the 15th century.
Prior to the Summit The Ministers of Education of the Turkic Council approved the programme of the Common Turkic History Textbook the hard copy of which is already available in the languages of the Member States.
At the abovementioned Summit the Heads of State instructed the Turkic Academy and the relevant authorities of the Member States to submit the textbook for final examination and take necessary steps in order to introduce it in to school curricula and instigated work on a common Turkic history textbook covering the period from the 15th century until the 21st century, as well as common geography and literature textbooks.
