The Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Dr. Mirvokhid Azimov met with Mr. Dilmurod Norov, Director of the Tourist Service and Dispatch Center of Uzbekistan, Ms. Farangiz Abdullayeva, Chairman of the Association of Hoteliers of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shukhrat Saibov, Chairman of the Tourist Transport Association of Uzbekistan, Mr. Nodir Rasulov, Founder of Mercury Services Company, and representatives of leading tour companies to discuss the Tabarruk Ziyarat project within the OTS on 11 July 2024 in Tashkent.
The Tabarruk Ziyarat project aims to boost tourism by promoting the historical, spiritual, and cultural heritage of the Turkic-Islamic civilization in the OTS Member and Observer States.
During the meeting, the parties addressed key tourism issues in the Turkic region, reviewed the project's progress, and outlined further actions to attract tourists. They also discussed integrating Kyrgyzstan into the tourism routes initially established between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, with plans to connect Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the next phase.
In this context, the significance of the Networking Meeting of Turkic Tour Companies on the project, held in Istanbul on 7 March 2024, was also highlighted, emphasizing the collaborative efforts to enhance regional tourism.
