On 27 February 2015, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Abzal Saparbekuly received a delegation of 18 journalists selected from 10 countries within the framework of their visit to Turkey organized jointly by TÜRKSOY, the Directorate General of Press and Information of the Republic of Turkey and under coordination of Office of Public Diplomacy of the Republic of Turkey. The delegation consists of the journalists who were awarded by TÜRKSOY Press Awards in recognition of their contribution to the promotion and enrichment of Turkic Culture.
Deputy Secretary General informed the journalists about the activities of the Turkic Council underlining that the forthcoming Summit of the Council will be devoted to media and information technologies. He also mentioned the importance given by the Turkic Council to information and media issue and gave information about the ongoing projects initiated by the Council such as Joint TV Channel.
The short film about the Turkic Council was also presented to the journalists during the meeting. At the conclusion Mr. Saparbekuly answered the questions of the journalists regarding the activities of the Turkic Council.
