On February 26, 1992, one of the darkest nights witnessed by humanity took place in Khojaly. In this inhumane incident, which is one of the most painful events, not only of the Republic of Azerbaijan, but also of the whole world, completely vulnerable civilians were brutally massacred without distinction between children, women and the elderly.
The Khojaly massacre is a black mark on the history of mankind, from which the serious lessons should be taken and heart-searching should be made by all humanity.
To ensure that the souls of the martyrs rest in peace and to avoid occurrence of similar events, we hope justice for Khojaly and expect that the international community will show the necessary sensitivity to this fact.
We always feel the pain of this inhuman incident, whose perpetrators are condemned to the harshest punishment in our consciences, and we share the suffering of our Azerbaijani brothers.
With these feelings, we commemorate the martyrs who lost their lives in Khojaly with deep respect and mercy and wish patience and condolences to their relatives.
