Today marks the centenary of the founding of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey (TBMM). This important date was devoted by the country’s Founder Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to the National Sovereignty and Children as a gift, representing the expression of confidence in young generations for preserving the future.

Throughout its century-old history, the Grand National Assembly has been the most important institution of Turkish political life that manifested the will of the nation and has served as the stronghold of democracy at challenging times. 
It makes us not only proud but also strong that our Member States are built on solid foundations with all their institutions and structures, thus, our work is strengthened with theirs. 

On this special occasion, I would like to congratulate wholeheartedly, the Republic of Turkey and its brotherly people on their National Day and wish the Republic of Turkey to prosper forever.
