December 12 is the Remembrance Day of a great person; political figure and Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev, whose pioneering thoughts and esteemed memory are still alive today.
As a genius, wise, farsighted statesman, who paved the way for the prosperity and growth of the brotherly Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev not only played a destiny shaping role in the foundation of modern Azerbaijan, but he also made valuable contributions to harmony, solidarity and unity of the Turkic World.
On behalf of the Turkic Council and on my own behalf, I commemorate with respect the Great Leader and Founder of modern Azerbaijan.
