Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Baghdad Amreyev met with H.E. Baghdat Mussin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who paid a working visit to the Secretariat of the Organization in Istanbul on 8 May 2022.
Welcoming the Kazakh Minister Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev highlighted the active and important role Kazakhstan plays in strengthening multifaceted cooperation in the Turkic world.
He pointed out that the ICT platform established within the OTS, ensures regional cooperation by strengthening coordination of the policies and efficient management of potential of the Member States.
At the same time, he stressed that more active collaboration should take place among the Member States in the field of e-services, digital infrastructure, advanced technology and innovation.
Minister Mussin highlighted the opportunities and potential of the Turkic States in the development of ICT and shared his vision of further digital transformation of the region. In addition, the Minister stressed that cooperation within the Organization should be expanded, in particular with regard to joint modernization of IT infrastructure, stimulation of initiatives in the field of electronic signatures, as well as encouragement of young start-ups, to support the realization of their technological solutions and expansion in various markets.
Then the Parties discussed and exchanged their views on the agenda of the upcoming meeting of Ministers in charge of ICT of the OTS to be held on 26 May 2022 within the framework of TEKNOFEST 2022 in Baku.
OTS Deputy Secretary General Mirvokhid Azimov, Project Directors Farrukh Jumayev and Yerzhan Mutafin as well as First Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiyev were also present at the meeting.
