Organization of Turkic States co-hosted a Panel Session of Turkic Technoparks under the theme of “Integration of Technoparks of Turkic States in order to increase exports of IT-services” within the framework of “ICT-WEEK Uzbekistan” International Event held on 24 October 2022 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The Panel Session moderated by Project Director of the OTS Secretariat Farrukh Jumayev was attended by Togrul Ismailov, CFO at Sabah.Lab (Azerbaijan), Magjan Madiev, CEO of “Astana hub” (Kazakhstan), Avigail Menashe, Executive Director at Kyrgyz Software and Services Developers Association (Kyrgyzstan), Farkhad Ibragimov, Chief executive officer of “IT-Park” (Uzbekistan) and Irakli Kashibidze, Coordinator at Startup Central Eurasia (Georgia) as keynote speakers.
The panelists held discussions on the enhancement of the innovation ecosystem and shared thier experience in development of the IT sphere and export of IT-services and support mechanisms for startups, as well as shared their views on the ways to enhance the network and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation among them.
The heads of the Turkic IT and Techno Parks also exchanged views on creating startup acceleration programs, launching various IT platforms such as the Association of Turkic Technoparks and IT-houses that would support the local technological companies in expansion to both mature markets and markets of the OTS members countries as well as providing soft landing support for the local startups in USA market.
As an outcome of the panel discussions, the Protocol among Technoparks from the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States was signed within the framework of the “ICT-WEEK Uzbekistan”.
