The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) organized an online meeting of the experts of the Parties to discuss the draft Agreement on the Establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the OTS on 23 May 2023.
The participants reiterated the importance of the establishment of the OTS Civil Protection Mechanism for strengthening the collective response capabilities and fostering solidarity among the OTS countries during emergencies, natural disasters, and other crisis situations.
The delegations engaged in constructive dialogue, sharing conceptual approaches, and offering valuable insights to the text of the draft Agreement.
They expressed their commitment to work collaboratively and to continue the discussions in order to finalize the Agreement by the upcoming OTS Summit as instructed by the decision of the Heads of State taken at the OTS Extraordinary Summit held on 16 March 2023 in Ankara.
