As part of his visit to Washington, D.C., H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), participated in the dinner co-hosted by H.E. Furqat Sidiqov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States, and the Caspian Policy Center on February 22, 2024 at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In his keynote address, the Secretary General reflected on OTS's journey, institutional growth, successful partnerships, and commitments outlined in strategic documents like the Turkic World Vision 2040 and OTS Strategy for 2022-26 and emphasized on the growing responsabilities of the Organization as a reliable regional partner. Looking ahead, he envisioned an influential role for OTS in global affairs, highlighting cooperation, binding agreements, and shared prosperity, extending an open hand towards greater possibilities and meaningful dialogue with the global community.
At the dinner, attended by Ambassadors and Deputy Chief Missions of the Embassies of the OTS countries, Senior officials of the U.S. Administration, CPC board members, and former U.S. senior diplomats, the participants had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on OTS’s cooperative efforts in the region and exchange insights on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
