Within his working trip to the Republic of Kazakhstan Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States held a meeting with Mr Adil Tursynov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan on 19 December 2022 in Astana.
Deputy Minister Tursunov welcomed and congratulated Ambassador Omuraliev on the recent assignment and expressed his confidence that the Secretary General’s activities will contribute to further development of mutually fruitful cooperation within the Organization.
Having stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership in line with the Turkic World Vision – 2040, he stated that the Turkic unity entered its new phase of development.
The Secretary General voiced his gratitude for the warm welcome and praised the important role of Kazakhstan in strengthening the Turkic cooperation.
He noted that the Secretariat has already started executing its Action Plan aimed at implementing the instructions of Heads of the OTS Member and Observer States, including H.E. President Tokayev’s proposal on raising the effectiveness of Turkic cooperation organizations.
The parties also discussed the ongoing preparation for the meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Turkic Cooperation Organizations with participation of the Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the TURKSOY and the TURKPA for enhancing the Turkic unity.
