On 15 August 2024 the Secretary General Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev held a meeting with the staff of the Representation Office of the OTS in Hungary at the office premises. During the meeting, Ambassador István Vásáry, Executive Director of the Representation Office of the OTS in Hungary, and Project Directors briefed the Secretary General on the ongoing activities of the Office.
The Secretary General emphasized the necessity for the Representation Office to improve its efforts in implementing its Activity Plan and be more involved in carrying out the Action Sheets of the OTS Summits and the OTS Strategy for Development. Among key priorities, the Secretary General highlighted the importance of promoting cooperation with the EU and relevant European institutions.
The Secretary General paid special attention to the “Joint Working Plan between the Organization of Turkic States and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary for supporting the development of the Organization of Turkic States – European Union relations in 2024” and follow-up efforts to implement it.
