On 12 May 2025, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Zheenbek Kulubaev, in Bishkek. 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing Chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the OTS and reviewed the progress of various events and initiatives being organized in Kyrgyzstan within this framework. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic pace of cooperation among Turkic States under the Kyrgyz Chairmanship and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening unity and solidarity within the Turkic world. 

Special attention was given to the preparations for the upcoming Informal Summit of the OTS, which is scheduled to take place on 20–21 May 2025 in Hungary. The two sides exchanged views on the agenda of the Summit and emphasized the importance of ensuring its successful organization
