Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Meets with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On the margins of the First Meeting of the Council of Central (National) Banks of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held on 27 May 2025 in Astana, H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan received H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS, at the Aq-Orda Residence.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of delegations from OTS Member States, including the Governors of the Central (National) Banks of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Hungary. Their participation underscores the strong political and institutional commitment to advancing financial cooperation within the Turkic world.

During the meeting, the Secretary General Omuraliev expressed his gratitude to the Kazakh side for the warm hospitality and excellent organization of the inaugural Council meeting. He emphasized the importance of establishing the Council as a strategic initiative aimed at deepening monetary cooperation, strengthening financial stability, and promoting regional economic integration.

President Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s full support for enhanced multilateral engagement within the OTS framework and highlighted the value of coordinated efforts among central banks in fostering economic resilience across the region.
