The Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, moderated a panel session titled “Institutionalization in the Turkic World: Organization of Turkic States in the 21st Century” within the scope of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on 1 March 2024.
Esteemed panelists included H.E. Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan; H.E. Jeenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic; H.E. Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye and Member of Parliament.
H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, provided an overview, highlighting the organization's growth in cooperation fields and the strategic importance of the Turkic region. He emphasized the transformation of the OTS from a cooperation initiative into a full fledged international organization, committed to fostering comprehensive interaction among its Member States and Observers.
The discussion focused on the future of OTS integration and its implications for the Turkic World and beyond. The panelists shared their insights on deepening integration among OTS member states and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
