Pelin Musabay Baki,Project Director of the Turkic Council participates in the training on "UN Catalytic Support to South-South & Triangular Cooperation in Implementing the Agenda 2030" that takes place during 29 November – 2 December, 2016 in Bonn, Germany at the newly established United Nations System Staff College Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development.
The training has been developed by the UN System Staff College (UNSSC) in close cooperation with the UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC).
On the first day of the training which was held on 29 November 2016, the theoretical part of South-South and triangular cooperation was taken up through the interactive courses given by the experts on the subject matter. The relations of this dynamic, comprehensive and inclusive method of collaboration with the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development were discussed at length during the courses.
Participants coming from different countries, representatives of UN agencies and officials from regional organizations take part in the said event that presents a pilot project aiming at generating further knowledge on the South-South and triangular cooperation and how to render it more effective.
The Turkic Council and the UNOSSC implement the existing MoU between them through various activities in line with their joint commitment to address the common needs of the Global South.
