On 6 September 2024 within the framework of the 1st Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States held in Cholpon-Ata, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Sadyr Zhaparov received the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Member States and Secretary General of the OTS.
The President welcomed the establishment of the platform of cooperation among the Ministers of Internal Affairs within the OTS and expressed confidence that the Declaration to be signed following the meeting of ministers will become a good basis for further enhancing mutual ties and additional strengthening of security issues.
The President also paid his attention to the importance of the unity of the entire Turkic world by saying, “Today's event clearly confirms that strength is in unity, and the security of the entire Turkic world is an important task for each of you.”
During the meeting, the Head of State also briefly spoke about the current relations of Kyrgyzstan with the states of the Organization, emphasizing new positive stages in the development of bilateral relations between the OTS countries.
At the end of the meeting, the President emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches particular importance to multilateral cooperation within the OTS and has an interest in making the Organization as a model of interstate harmony and unity.
