Hosted by Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), the 2nd Diaspora Forum of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be held on March 28, 2022 in Bursa, the 2022 Cultural Capital of the Turkic World, with the participation of Heads of Disapora Institutions of the OTS Member States, senior government officials, NGO representatives, business people, academicians and members of press.
Within the framework of the Forum, there will be three main sessions namely; Head of Diaspora Institutions Session with the topic of “Contemporary Status and Future Perspective of Diasporas of the OTS Member Countries”, Academic Session on the topic of “Historical Process of the Diasporas of the OTS Member States” and Civil Society Session devoted to the topic of “Capacity Building of NGO’s in Diaspora – Challenges”. There will be Q&A at the end of every session.
Following the Forum, on March 29, 2022, the "2nd Experience Sharing Program among the OTS Diaspora Institutions" will be organized, during which the Diaspora Institutions from OTS Member States will share their knowledge and experience, as well as elaborate on the diaspora issue with its legal, social, economic and cultural dimensions.
The program will end with the Nowruz celebrations and inauguration ceremony of Bursa-2022 Cultural Capital of the Turkic World, co-organized by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and TÜRKSOY on March 30, 2022.
