Upon the invitation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Joint Election Observation Mission formed by the Turkic Council will monitor the early Presidential Election in Kazakhstan on 26 April 2015.
The delegation for the observation mission of the Turkic Council will comprise officials of the Secretariat and representatives from each Member State other than Kazakhstan, namely, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey. The delegation will be divided into two groups: one will observe election in Almaty and the other one in Taraz. The mission is expected to begin on 23 April and be finalized on 27 April 2015.
The current observation mission will be the fifth mission commissioned by the Turkic Council to observe elections in the Member States. Previously, Turkic Council’s joint observation missions monitored the Presidential Election in Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city in October 2011, Parliamentary Elections in Kazakhstan’s South Kazakhstan Province in January 2012, Presidential Election in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district of Karabakh in October 2013 and Presidential Election in Turkey’s Istanbul city in August 2014.
The Head of the Mission, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov will share the outcome of the Observation Mission of the Turkic Council regarding the Election during a press conference to be held on 27 April 2015 in Almaty, as well as the group that will monitor election in Taraz will share their remarks on the same day at the press conference in Taraz. The official report of the Observer Mission of the Turkic Council will be subsequently submitted to the Member States.
