Project Director Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek participated in the Conference entitled ‘Enhancing Economic and Cultural Relations among OIC Member Countries: Opportunities and Challenges’
Within the context of the 13th Islamic Summit of OIC, the Strategic Research Center (SAM) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey in collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) organized a Conference entitled ‘Enhancing Economic and Cultural Relations among OIC Member Countries: Opportunities and Challenges’ on 13 April 2016 in Istanbul.

The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by Mr. Ali Resul Usul, President of SAM. Dr. El Hassane Hzaine, Director General of OIC affiliated bodies ICDT- OIC , Ambassador Musa Kulaklıkaya, Director General of SESRIC and Assoc. Prof. Halit Eren, Director General of IRCICA also addressed to the participants and moderated two main sessions of the Conference. Scientists and researchers from different regions of the Islamic World have contributed to the sessions through interactive discussions regarding the obstacles and solutions for enhancing economic and commercial cooperation among the OIC member states.

Project Director Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek participated in the Conference as the representative of the Turkic Council Secretariat.
