The Aid for Trade Conference has started its plenary session on 11 July 2017 in Geneva.
This initiative led by World Trade Organization (WTO)was launched in 2005 aiming of addressing the supply side and trade related infrastructure constrains that hampers developing countries` participation in the global trade.
Along with the event a publication named "Aid for Trade at a Glance 2017" was produced in by the World Trade Organisation and OECD. This joint OECD-WTO publication, with contribution from other organisations, looks at what is being done and what more needs ti be done to built the human, Institution and infrastructure capacities which will allow developing countries and least developing countries to benefit from trade opportunities.
The Project Director of the Turkic Council Farid Damirli participated at the said event.
