Pelin Musabay Baki, Project Director of the Turkic Council delivered a speech at the second session of on the First Regional Networking Forum for the Arab, Europe and the CIS on “the Role of South-South/East-East Cooperation in Advancing the Achievement of National Development Priorities in Implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda” that was organized by UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) in cooperation with UNDP and Islamic Development Bank on 4 November 2016 in Dubai.
In her speech, Project Director Baki put forward the activities of the Turkic Council with regard to experience and knowledge sharing among its member states and across the region in a wide range of ares including tourim sector. Meanwhile, she expressed the Turkic Council’s views on “the draft report of South-South Cooperation: Towards Sustainable Human Development in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States” where the Turkic Council is referred to as one of the key regional actors contributing to the dissemination of the South-South and triangular cooperation in the region. The said report prepared in cooperation with UNOSSC and UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub will be published at the beginning of 2017.The organizers expressed their gratitude to the Turkic Council for contributing to the preparation of the above-mentioned draft report.
