Pelin Musabay Baki, Project Director of the Turkic Council participated in the training on "UN Catalytic Support to South-South & Triangular Cooperation in Implementing the Agenda 2030" that was organized by the United Nations System Staff College Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development in close cooperation with the UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) on 29 November-2 December 2016 in Bonn, Germany.
During the training, she provided information to the participants on the activities of the Turkic Council in the benefit of the development of the South-South cooperation among its Member States, in its region and beyond. Furthermore, she gave an interview to the UN System Staff College about the initiatives that the Turkic Council takes to promote the implementation of the demand-driven and tailor-made approach of this dynamic and comprehensive cooperation method for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
After the extensive courses given by the experts on the issues related to the theory and practice of the South-South and triangular cooperation as well as the negotiation skills, the training was completed by the distribution of certificates to the participants.
After the training, on 2 December 2016, Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki attended “the Consultative Meeting of the National Focal Points for the South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Agricultural Development and Enhanced Food Security Partnership Initiative” organized in Bonn by the UNOSSC in partnership with the IFAD and the Islamic Development Bank. During the meeting, she informed the audience about “the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package “ project and its possible contribution to the rural development of the Turkic Council Member States and in the region, once it is fully implemented.
