Hosted by the Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) of Türkiye, the Second Diaspora Youth Forum of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) started in Ankara on 2 October 2024.

The Forum brought together 25 youngsters from the diaspora communities of the OTS Member States and Observers living in Germany, Belgium, Holland, United Kingdom, and France. 

On the first day of the program, following the opening remarks delivered by the Deputy Secretary General of the OTS Merey Mukazhan and the Vice President of the YTB Hakan Kazancı, participants discussed the ways to enhance the cooperation and coordination among the Turkic diaspora youth in the upcoming period. 

Within the framework of the Forum, which will last till 6 October 2024, the participating diaspora youth will attend various seminars and workshops on common identity, common history and language, current challenges affecting the Turkic diaspora and ways to address them, as well as some sportive avtivities and excursions. 

On the occasion of the event, the participants of the 2nd Diaspora Forum will also have the opportunity to attend the “3 October-Turkic States Cooperation Day” celebrations to be held in Ankara in honor of the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Nakhchivan Agreement establishing the Organization of Turkic States. At the end of the Forum, the youngsters will participate in the TEKNOFEST-2024 in Adana.
