Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev attended the 13th International Astronautical Federation (IAF) International Meeting for Ministers and Members of Parliaments on 1 October 2023 in Baku and delivered a speech.

The meeting took place at the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and attended by the Ministers in Charge of Technology and Space and Members of Parliament from different countries and relevant stakeholders.

In his speech Secretary General Omuraliev touched upon the ongoing cooperation among the OTS Member and Observer States in the field of space as well as prospective plans and project to be realized in the upcoming period.

Underlining the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in space studies, Secretary General emphasized that peaceful utilization of outer space presents a valuable means to advance the welfare of both humanity and the Earth's environment, furthermore the beneficial use of outer space will enhance communication infrastructure, disaster management, education, agriculture, environmental protection and natural resource management, which will enable development for human being.
At the meeting, participants shared their views and comments on space solutions for enhancing public services, disasters, risk and resources management.
